Canteen Smart Card
A canteen smart card has been introduced which would be acceptable in all service canteens. This would preclude the necessity for maintaining multiple cards (if you operate between two homes in two cities) and also the necessity for maintaining a liquor book.
Canteen Officer INHS Asvini has been entrusted with the task of accepting and processing applications for canteen smart card of Retired officers settled in Mumbai.
1.Filling up of a form (at INHS Asvini)
2. a copy of the PPO
3.Photographs, 2 each of the officer and wife as well as a joint photograph of the couple to be submitted with Rs.100/- per card required. [ details may be obtained from Canteen Officer on 2217 3789 prior to visiting]
4.Address proof card - Many working people often shift houses. For them, it is difficult to produce an address proof issued by Govt with their latest address. Our India Post (post office) has come up with a solution. Now you can get an Address proof along with your photo from India Post. Since the ID proof is issued by India Post which is a central government organization, it is similar to Govt ID cards like the Driving license, Voters ID etc. It can be used for opening bank accounts, for getting telephone/internet connections etc. The total cost for getting this ID card is Rs.250/ (Rs.10 for application and Rs.240/- processing fee).
